Designing Drug Compositions for Improved Therapeutic Outcomes: A Review of Current Strategies

Ujvyid Tanyehi

The development of new drugs and drug combinations is a constantly evolving process aimed at improving the efficacy and safety of therapies for a variety of diseases. In this review, we discuss the current strategies used in designing drug compositions to enhance therapeutic outcomes. We provide an overview of the principles of drug combination therapy and explore the advantages and challenges of different approaches, including fixed-dose combinations, sequential administration, and codrug delivery. We also examine recent advances in drug design that allow for more precise control of drug release and delivery, such as nanotechnology and targeted drug delivery systems. Finally, we discuss the importance of considering drug-drug interactions and the potential for adverse effects when designing drug compositions. Overall, the review highlights the need for continued research and development in drug composition design to improve patient outcomes and address the challenges of complex diseases
